🥰💖 I've been trying to read more Actual Books this year, mostly offline-people's recommendations, and... they're fine? They're ok. Very occasionally there's a gem. But 0 of them have hit the level of character connection managed by the best fic writers. It's very strange.

Oh yeah you're right! There's a similar mulefa mispronunciation too but at least that's only said maybe once 😅 Everything else is so good though! Bonus of Pullman is you know for definite what everything is "supposed" to be, and he's a lovely reader, but Sheen is definitely the better performer.

💖 I would say the first fic is fairly safe! More sort of adventure-peril than angst-peril and lots of found family stuff, and I think it ends in a pretty good/hopeful place. Perhaps wait on the second fic though 😰 There IS a happy ending, but it's a bit of a ride to get there.
