Finally. Let’s start holding Farage to account for the relentless shitshow that is Brexit.
Because..
“What could be more elementary than asking voters to judge a candidate on their previous assurances? What more basic function of democracy could we ask for?”

Labour admits Brexit was terrible. Now it’s time to act
For years now, the economic situation facing this country has been buried in the small print

Here’s the thing. We still have the power (probably) to say that this image must not be what America is. We still have the power to say “fuck no, we refuse to allow this to be what the streets of America look like.” Attend a “No Kings” rally this Saturday. And then vote in 2026.

Lib Dems welcomed Prof Matthew Agarwala contribution.

Labour & Tories pulled him from their similar panels

Total Politics and the panel’s sponsor Offshore Energies UK (OEUK) said that they did not want a dissenting view on the panel about the importance of North Sea oil and gas to the UK economy.

A small gripe in the grand scheme of things but this shows what's increasingly obvious to people attending UK party conferences

Many fringe events are not open discussion of policy & political options, but *adverts* for whoever is paying for the event

Academic axed from Labour conference panel for criticising energy policy
Sustainability expert was told panellists discussing North Sea oil and gas were meant to ‘agree entirely’ with each other

BREAKING: Equinor has admitted that the massive Rosebank oil and gas field in the UK would cause vast climate damage.

*Pretends to be shocked* 😲

The UK government must STOP Rosebank, and instead focus on creating jobs in North Sea renewables!

Donating directly to political parties is so YESTERDAY when you can directly control the news and the organisations that are fed into the news cycle.

Paul Marshall (money man, Brexit backer, GB News - with Legatum Institute Holdings- , Spectator and Unherd and so much more);

Hong Kongers in St Albans and around the UK are asking whether the Prime Minister is trading their safety and security in our communities, in favour of having a cosier relationship with Beijing.

At #PMQs I challenged the Prime Minister directly on this

Really concerned to see Tommy Robinson launching a vile personal attack on the brilliant Daisy Cooper for asking about an important national security issue at PMQs. Very low.

Legalising drugs isn't crazy, because some of the worst drugs are already legal, Alcohol is one of the most harmful drugs, it should be Class A. Smoking is one of the most addictive and equally harmful when you do it for decades.

Chase these people for every penny of the money they owe with all the same rigour applied to poor people who are a few minutes late for a job centre appointment or who receive £1 more than the government decides they need to survive for another week.

Anything less than that is just soundbites.

What about all the others? The Gove VIP lane was just giving money to Tory donors much of it useless Are we only pursuing MEDPRO even if they richly deserve it? Dido Harding springs to mind with her £32Bn discovered using a very Excel for the test and trace which turned out to be useless.

I’d say this is always the case: the NHS’s critical care facilities are somehow unsurpassed even as everything else creaks. I’ve seen this in action a bit recently for various reasons snd at its very best it’s incredible, at its worst just miserable.

If Labour doesn't intend to adhere to its human rights obligations anyway, there's little point in us being signatories to the ECHR. Better, more honest, for Mahmood to join Reform in campaigning to leave it.

If she hammers us with more taxes and not the super wealthy then the economy won't grow. Especially if she kills the housing market completely which is already verging on dead. I won't hold my breath ,dodgy Black Rock has been advising her.
