The hole in a guitar is traditionally used to store soft cheeses and dried meats which are fed to the drummer when he does a good job
A reminder: you can quit working for idiots that are going to kill people. It's a totally reasonable thing to do. I really hope that guy in the audio trying to talk sense got a sweet job after that.
Also as an engineer the dumb shit they were doing with composites (grinding down high spots in the layup) is obviously not going to work from someone with even the most basic understanding of hoop stress.

This guy fucked up kid shit basics and was proud of his 💩
The comparison to Virgin Galactic is what gets me.

All the engineers I know in the industry think that was some dumb shit and not like ... Brave frontier pushing. Suborbital spaceflight is old hat.

This is just a junior engineer being ride or die for his bad design. Not a pioneer.
Dear Jeebus it's raining in LA?!?!?!
Ran a 5k yesterday but this picture of a KFC bucket ascending to heaven via portal was the most compelling picture I took by far.
Yeah... My muscles are full of regret today.

Hot pot and 3D printing. The results of hot pot and CAD
Smd soldering is always smaller than I remember

Repairing my own devices always feels kinda neat. Saving $200 on a new mixer by a little bit of soldering.
Servo always finds the softest spot.
What you don't celebrate clipmas?
Fixing broken connectors. Never easy.
Hehe I found out the other day that 2 of the 4 screws holding one of the solar panels to the awning fell out on the drive back
Got lucky.
Cleaned the garage a bit and started on the head rebuild of the bridgebort.

Post breakup mindless work to fill the cycles.

Replaced the clock spring. Next on to the bushings in the head. Hopefully the belt isn't fried.

Then adding a power drawbar.
I put in a lot of work on the bike and the trailer and id say the burn went a lot better for it. Despite the weather I still managed to get out and see a lot of fun stuff and was relatively comfortable when I got back to camp.

I also got to share tea and kbbq with the camp mates which felt great.
Electrifying the bike worked great and was probably the biggest win. The porch lights and the countertop extension were also pretty clutch.
Proud of all the fun stuff I designed and fabricated for the burn this year. The awning mods survived a 1200 mile journey and 60mph winds. The grey water tank mount did great too.
Temple burn was pretty cool too. Quite large.
Now to get on with the rest of my life lol
Made it back intact from burning man.

Space goats built some rad art this year

And I came away from the burn with one transformative experience ( a sweet Elijah wood collage)
