[Galadriel] burned with desire to follow Fëanor with her anger to whatever lands he might come ... Pride still moved her when, ... after the final overthrow of Morgoth, she refused the pardon of the Valar for all who had fought against him, and remained in Middle-earth.

... when the light of Valinor failed ... she [Galadriel] joined the rebellion against the Valar ... Even after the merciless assault upon the Teleri and the rape of their ships, though she fought fiercely against Fëanor in defence of her mother’s kin, she did not turn back.

Galadriel was more far-sighted ... she perceived from the beginning that Middle-earth could not be saved from ‘the residue of evil’ that Morgoth had left behind ... She looked upon the Dwarves also with the eye of a commander...

This perfect scene gives me the chills.

Halbrand is almost confessing he is Sauron. What happens in the Southlands at that time seems to rhyme with his past as Southlander, when it actually refers to his past as leader of the Uruks.

The way he says "What do you know of darkness?"🤯

There's a light in her eyes in this scene as she speaks of Celeborn. The light goes out after she says, "I never saw him again."
[In Alqualondë Galadriel] met Celeborn ... Together they planned to build a ship and sail in it to Middle-earth; and they were about to seek leave from the Valar for their venture when Melkor fled from Valmar and returning with Ungoliant destroyed the light of the Trees. [Unfinished Tales]

... gathering a great force he [Sauron] moved over Calenardhon (Rohan) to the invasion of Eriador ... When news of this reached Gil-galad he sent out a force under Elrond Half-elven; but Elrond had far to go, and Sauron turned north and made at once for Eregion. [Unfinished Tales]

[The Dwarves] used their rings only for the getting of wealth; but wrath and an overmastering greed of gold were kindled in their hearts, of which evil enough after came to the profit of Sauron. [The Silmarillion]
