The No Kings March in Chicago is one of the largest gatherings I’ve seen here. Looking down from by the river, the crowd stretches for blocks down Michigan Ave and wraps around Wacker Dr. This video is from a few minutes ago and the end of the protest is nowhere in sight.

That means a lot coming from you.
An impromptu shrine is emerging at Tony Fitzpatrick's art studio. Thank you so much to all the well-wishers and fans who are stopping by to pay tribute to him. Here are a few photos...
The Museum of Broadcast Communications is reopening at a pop-up location at the end of next week at 440 W. Randolph Street. One of the exhibits will be called "50 Years of the Loop Radio Station". They asked me to curate it, and it's been an honor. So much cool stuff to share.
Wendy Snyder was kind enough to have me on the WGN radio morning show this morning to talk about Tony Fitzpatrick and his book. You can listen here if you missed it. wgnradio.com/bob-sirott/t...

Pretty impressive. I'm guessing Tucker didn't become a finalist because of his injuries. Not sure why Dansby didn't qualify.
The Cubs have 6 NL Gold Glove award finalists at their respective positions: Matthew Boyd, Carson Kelly, Nico Hoerner, Matt Shaw, Ian Happ and Pete Crow-Armstrong.
Another Eckhartz Press book has been named a finalist for CWA Book of the Year. Jim Slusher's book To Nudge the World (eckhartzpress.com/shop/to-nudg...) is one of the finalists in the Indie Non-Fiction category. Congrats to Jim! He becomes our 15th finalist in our 14 years as a publisher.

My son Sean was there last night.
Interesting list. I agree with about half of them. I would add "The Dick Van Dyke Show" and "The Andy Griffith Show" to the list. www.nytimes.com/2025/10/09/o...
