I'm with you on the lineup - oof, indeed. But see my recent post about the announcement. I very much doubt that Jericho of all people would announce his wrestling future passively and not make a huge deal of it.

4 Commentary, coaching, producing & other backstage opportunities seem more plentiful in AEW

WOR: Chris Jericho’s AEW contract is up at the end of 2025, and there's certainly been lots and lots of talk about WWE.

From a WWE standpoint, there’s lots of talk there about Jericho. People speculating Royal Rumble.

This perfectly sums up my feelings, too. And his yearning for the success of the business is never more clear than on the cruise, especially with the introduction of the Oceanic Tournamenta, which opened eyes to lesser known talents, & gives us some workrate matches in the middle of all the comedy

Jericho always gets it. Sometimes I want to not like him but he just seems like someone wanting the business to succeed. He certainly doesn't need the money.

I've never been his biggest fan, but I appreciate everything Jericho has done in and *for* AEW. I understand his latest gimmick got stale quickly and he can't move like he used to, but the "good riddance" posts I saw today made me sad. Even if he IS done, let's not forget what he gave us 2/2.

I think folks are forgetting who this man is. He learned how to grift from VKM & Gene Simmons, but was able to reinvent himself & was AEW-coded from Day 1

I'm confident today's cruise announcement intentionally omitted mentioning a wrestling promotion & not an indication of his future in the biz 1/
