#JoyDivision used to get so much grief for the nazi connotations of their name.

Yet nobody batted an eyelid at #Blondie, named after Hitler's actual dog.

Great investigation of the Nazis, racists and criminals mobilising the flag-on-lamp-posts movement. This is the kind of journalism that the national media could and should have conducted:

I'm two hops away from Nicolae Ceaușescu.

This shouldn't be enough to put me in front of a firing squad.
Off the top of my head, in terms of degrees of separation I managed to get from myself to *Jimi Hendrix* in "three hops," this is a WILD assertion to make

Two days to comment on a serious longterm policy affecting millions, four hours to gob off an inaccurate hysterical response about a Europa League tie
why did this take two fucking days though? did the Prime Minister have his notifications switched off? was he stuck in the bath? why, exactly, is this obviously true thing something that apparently needs running past the boss anyway? what is *wrong* with their comms operation?
NEW: Labour condemn Tory plan to strip people of indefinite leave to remain:

“It’s utterly grotesque that Tories want to deport people with the lawful right to be here to achieve ‘cultural coherence’.

“This policy would mean tearing families apart and ripping out our neighbours from communities."

The Conservatives have drafted the legislation.

ANY one of the conditions being met leads to ILR being revoked.

If annual income falls below £38,700 for six months (for any reason at all)

The Secretary of State would also have the powers add whatever further conditions they want.

More bad news for #PizzaHut.

The CEO has been found dead at home, all covered in cheese, ham, mushrooms and capers.

Police say it looks like he topped himself.

Can supermarkets please stop making their posh mince pies with all-butter pastry. It may sound more luxurious and high-end but it is not better. Shortcrust pastry should be 50/50 butter and marge. All-butter pastry has no structural integrity and it just falls to pieces.
