I get really tired of people not understanding that platforms getting age verification is the alternative to that platform entirely shutting down in your country, and that you shouldn't be throwing hatemail at the platform's company.

I like writing the endings of my short stories first, because then the rest becomes a puzzle building up to it, and I don't end up doing an Adult Cartoon Series and dragging its corpse endlessly and milking it for as much content as physically possible to the detriment of every story it tells

I actually wish Bluesky had a "this many people have viewed your post" thing. I didn't use Twitter for long before Elon Musk's The Enshittening, but knowing that like 10 people saw my art was cool af. Like hell yeah 10 people looked at my stuff

Many of my online friends live far away and have cultures and interests I can't relate to.
I do not have the resources to meet up.
So I distance myself from them, because I know we'll never be close like their living-distance friends are, and I'd be easily forgotten about if I left the group chat.

Adding on to this I'm more like... Into books, making art and music and writing, cooking, growing plants, staying at home where it's quiet, and all sorts of other creative areas and nature.
I just struggle to really connect with people who live very materialistic lifestyles

It sucks being part of a friend group that is 90% people who are in physical distance of each other. As a long-distance only friend who will probably never meet them in person, it's hard to feel like I've really got anywhere near as much value. Doomed to the outer friend circle, honestly.
