I lost a friend to suicide in January. He and I commissioned together. He retired from a career in the Army a couple years ago. But on 6 January, he was the 0-5 manning the National Guard office in the Pentagon. No call came. Legislators cannot deploy or order the Guard to do anything. This is 🐴💩.

The only reason MAGA says Antifa is a well-organized and directed organization is that even without any leadership, membership, budget, or structure, it’s still more organized than Trump’s shambolism of an administration.

I have to believe that somewhere within ICE/Homeland Security there are individuals and cells of resistance. People who are like the handful of Wehrmacht soldiers who refused to obey immoral and illegal orders. God keep them safe - and empower their secret work.

If we succeed somehow, and save our Republic in 2026 and 28, we must immediately begin the work of rebuilding and strengthening it; ratify the ERA, restore voters’ rights everywhere and eliminate the gerrymandering, amend the Constitution to limit presidential powers, & legislate power to the people

During his last term I was a school administrator. We had an annual guide for FAPE and IDEA that provided updated legal and best practices guidance for special education sent to us by the DOE. DeVoss cut the guide from 775 pages to 50. The guide is now gone. Make if it what you will.

When the old man goes tits up, it wont’t be over. There will a vacuum. Vance, Miller, Noem, Hegseth, even Trump’s children will be circling the carcass snarling at each other. Will one dominate? Will they divide the nation and fight forever? Will a foreign actor come in. History says all may be.

Reading Mary Beard when it hits me. Trump is NOT Hitler. He isn’t Mussolini. Those similarities are due to his affectations.
We need to look even further back for the populist, fascist prototype.
