Capitalism was once the cutting edge of societal organization, but now it is holding us back. Obviously it is not the most inefficient system that exists, but that does not mean it is the best we can do. We should not be afraid to build something better.

I just reread chapter 1 of blackshirts and reds. Parenti’s writing is genuine prophesy. The parallels that you can draw between the rise of Hitler and Mussolini with Trump are nearly one for one. If you are libbed up I’m begging you to read it. A perfect starter material analysis of fascism.
Rest in peace to Michael Parenti, a voice many have learned a great deal from. One of the smartest western thinkers of the 20th century. More people should be exposed to his brilliant work, especially during times like these.
