Sometimes I remember the abject look of shock I saw on an old man’s face once when he saw me. Stopped me in mid conversation just to tell me that I was the spitting image of his friend that had died in a motorcycle crash over two decades prior. Tears welled up in his yes and he went in his way.

His claims are wild because I’d say that Mexico has one of the largest bread cultures I’ve ever experienced. Weird that some British guy that focuses on Sourdough and methods from Scandinavia has anything to say about another country’s bread culture.
This British guy is opening a bakery in Mexico -I think he is a “famous” baker?

Anyway he was giving an interview and said Mexico doesn’t have a bread culture and other disparaging remarks. He eventually issued an apology

But he’s being throttled online..

I really and truly lament that the food influencer has degraded from professional cooks/chefs to more of a “Watch me do something crazy you won’t believe how good it is 🤪” people. Like most of food sphere is reverting to stunt food a La Epic Mealtime but disguising it with actual culinary technique.

I will keep rolling my eyes when people use “antibiotic free” or “hormone free” when discussing meat in a nutritional sense. There is no scientific consensus that says these items are healthier or even better. If you’re that worried about it then look at practices of the farmer not the label.
