Doing comics is a solitary work that takes a lot of time. You can't imagine the boost of energy that it is when someone tells you your work has resonated with them tho, makes it worth all the effort!

the reason I hate it is because it was heavy Cold War Apologia and I hate that everybody praises Trek for being "anti-war" (it is) without also mentioning the eps that missed the mark... which means I end up disliking the ep a little more than is MAYBE warranted
ohhhh it was THAT episode Bones got shot... I mixed it up, but that makes sense cus I skip that ep on almost every rewatch on account of how angry it makes me lol. Which is a shame cus there's random McKirk thrown in there....

TLDR is so many times issues with fictional parents are expressed as an issue of not enough love or emotional attachment... very clear in those cases one did not have parents that loved them deeply but still emotionally abused or hurt them!!! (Good. Dont have that. Its funny, frankly, but its bad.)
