Yeah, as an outsider, I'd say it is definitely worth contemplating. When the federal state starts abusing their share of the tax money for extortion, the state should definitely scrutinize the legality of having to pay federal taxes.

I did though, didn't I? You might not want to hear it. So, what I saw was a movie discussing the problem of the current process. Where interactions and lack of thereof affects the outcome. It didn't try to tell anyone how to solve it, just that is is clearly there.

You wanted an "ending", I think you wrote? The way the movie ends is the only way to make it work. If the prez had either blown everything to up or told everyone to calm the duck down, it'd been a different movie. This was a take on how problematic a "failsafe" process is when everyone gets rushed.

It isn't a battlefield movie, it's a movie about how problematic the process is for nukes. Which I guess is why she chose this "unlikely" scenario. What is a "likely" nuclear war scenario, by the way? Also, why do people expect sky beams and CGI armies in everything these days? 😅

Universal healthcare is unfortunately under heavy attack in all of Europe. Many countries, being "conservative" for a lengthy time are working on privatising the insurance, and even today many countries "requires" you to get a private insurance to avoid months or years waiting for procedures.

Also, when will regulators clamp down on the confirmation bias sales argument that it is the "new improved" processor making "everything snappier"? This has been debunked both by science and comedy. Like, when Kimmel wiped people's phones with a cloth, told them it's upgraded and they all agreed.

This is sold as a way to augment reality, which means you're supposed to move around naturally with it. So, those flimsy fabric straps are still going to make it wobble on your head moving around, walking and running. Enjoy your nausea, because your brain will never adapt to that.

What would the purpose be of nuking Colombia? If he'd want to go full dictator and take over Colombia's resources, nuking is the least practical method. Also, increasing the nuclear arsenal does nothing in that scenario.
