MANOR 5 ml Perfume Oil
Woody-Vanilla Musk, Vanilla, Agarwood, Sandalwood

Manor is the scent of a once grand estate, now disheveled, forgotten and left exposed to the elements. The faint scent of previous owners and their esteemed guests - exquisitely perfumed ladies mingling with the intense rich and musky scent of smartly dressed gentlemen - meets rich wood floors and heavy wooden doors long since opened, decaying beadboard and Wainscot topped off with a thin layer of dust. It is very sophisticated and absolutely intoxicating.

Manor is a blend of woody-vanilla musk coupled with an incredible vanilla and exquisite oud. The scent is sweet and rich due to the vanillas, woody and incensey from the oud blend and a touch of sandalwood. On initial application and coldsniff, the aloeswood is a little stronger than it is on the dry down. Manor settles down wonderfully. After hours on the skin it does smell much sweeter due to the vanillas, though the woody/incense element is still detectable. Unisex.

P2 by the end of the day the vetiver and marigold had melded into a very musky musk that did not compliment my lovely wear from the day. It might be me as it's not the first time this accord combination has evoked a body musk smell on my skin. Definitely worth a try because everyone is different.

Molly Nosegay Chandler, another character from Robin Hobb’s Realm of the Elderlings series. She is a wonderful person, driven, and so full of compassion. But she also has limits and boundaries. She is a strong woman character and Hobb (as always) portrays her with nuance and depth.
The berry-rose-green notes of fireweed compliment and contrast sweet yet bitter marigolds and a deep honey accord, rounded off with an earthy sandalwood accord and beeswax base with hints of vetiver and woods.

1984 Parfum: 🛁 🫧 that open into a narcissus and tuberose bouquet and moss glistening in 🍯. Intoxicating warm wood drydown.
Recent edt: 🧼 🫧 barely form before the bright citrus-tinged jasmine forward florals appear. Drydown is similar but less compelling.

Oooh! Tocca would be nice to have too! This find was from a Ross I don't usually go to. There have been plenty of Marc Jacob's, Elizabeth Arden (Red Door and Sunflowers ) and Ariana Grande at my local ones.

#sotd a great find for under $18 at Ross today that took over MH Violet Ida on the wear test. Oscar de la Renta Alibi Eau Sensuelle. Velvety orange creamsicle swirled into a smoked sandalwood waffle cone. No sharpness, no astringent cleaning product. Just soft sweetness 🍊
