Agree with every word of this

We've gone from 9% of social care staff coming from outside the UK and EEA in 2021/22 to almost 25% in 2024/25

The govt has no near-term replacement

It means either:
1) staffing shortages or
2) councils spending far more to attract staff, with no extra funding

I've the pleasure of some newly qualified Staff Nurses at the moment and, surprisingly, I like to provide historical context to ICU nursing. Enter this fabulous poster kept in the national archives: a scene I recreate daily with equally supportive looks of awe (but with a moustache). #HistNursing

The fab staircase in our Cavendish Sq home is in the Italian Baroque style - fashionable in stately homes, but rare in London's townhouses. The mural is by John Devoto, a pupil of Thornhill. We love how the guilt captures the light.

#histnursing looking forward to reading the blog
When you find the grave locally of a decorated nurse from #WW1, decide to research it and find 3 nurses and 2 surgeon siblings , their mother who was a barmaid and a grandson son who was awarded the VC and died aged 22. That wasn’t on my bingo card! A blog it is then! #familyhistory more below 👇

We will never forget how nursing staff and their patients were failed by those at the highest levels of government during the pandemic.

This report must mark a turning point in how health emergencies are responded to and how the voice of nursing must never be ignored again. #CovidInquiry
The Chair of the UK Covid-19 Inquiry, Baroness Heather Hallett, has today published her second report.

Baroness Hallett is calling for the prompt and thorough implementation of 19 key recommendations.

Ministers must scrap these plans which will only worsen the staffing crisis and put patients at risk. ⬇️
