More heros from the Tai Po fire. Catabay carried her employers child from the 23rd floor down the fire escape and didn't stop til she was safe. Verador carried her employer's 2 yr old child in one hand and supported the grandmother in another through the smoke to safety.

If tourists in Hong Kong visit one Taoist temple, it usually is the Man Mo Temple on Hollywood Road in Central. But my favourite Man Mo Temple -- which I think is more atmospheric -- is actually located in Tai Po.

To further clarify, the current Owners' Corporation opposed the renovation contract from the start and wanted to cancel it but couldn't bcuz it's already signed. While the previous OC was the one that reviewed and signed the contract. Peggy Wong served as consultant for the previous OC
DAB’s Peggy Wong, who defended the Wang Fuk Court Owners Corporation in Aug 2024 because they were doing a good job with repairs, is now reporting the OC to the police and ICAC for misconduct, negligence, and corruption

As the workday ends in Hong Kong, the city's residents leaving their offices make a detour into Tai Po to offer flowers and Pat their respects to the victims of the fire. Lines are significantly shorter than yesterday but the atmosphere of a respectful hush remains despite the crowd.

Seven samples of the scaffold netting from Wang Fuk Court did not meet fire retardant standards, according to HK Chief Secretary Eric Chan. The ICAC has also found that compliant netting was mixed in with non-compliant netting in order to evade patrols.

HK media outlet i-Cable, citing the police: Some bodies from the Tai Po fire have been reduced to ashes, they cannot rule out that a of the missing persons can be recovered.

Since earlier today, an endless stream of Hong Kongers have come to Tai Po to pay their respects and mourn the lives lost to the fire. Some people estimate that they have waited in line for up to 2 hours so they could lay down their flowers.
