I am organizing a YCAPS Baseball Experience in Yokosuka! All interested are welcome. This is a farm team game, so tickets are cheap and we can sit together. Important point, Yokosuka, not Yokohama! We had a great time last year at a similar event. www.ycaps.org/yokosuka-bas...

Trump is aggressively ignorant. He does not learn, actively resists it, and has surrounded himself with people who enable his stupidity.

June 1st is World Milk Day (June is Milk Month in Japan). This is a chance for those of us in dairy to display how proud we to be in an industry what provides vital nutrition and supports livelihoods and local economies. About 1 billion people around the world rely on dairy for their livelihoods.

Interesting exhibit in the public space below the Kyobashi Edo Grand Building near the Kyobashi Station entrance. Beatles, early rock, and Japanese group memorabilia and some guitars on display.

If, like me, you're interested in the history of urban conflagration, you'd do well to consider Edo/Tokyo.

And if you're curious about Tokyo's fire history you can do no better than to unroll 目黒行人阪火事絵巻, a scroll depicting the 1772 Meguro Gyoninzaka fire, one of the 3 great Edo era fires

A thread.

三浦按針 William Adams' (aka John Blackthorne) former place of business was near Nihonbashi. There is a marker that is easy to miss and a street named for him but not marked. Seems like a bit more marketing could be expended on this.
