One wing of a white and grey baroque Palace. There are windows on two levels and towers and pinnacles on the roof. In front of the Palace is a pool with a low stone edge which perfectly reflects the buildings, surrounding trees and the blue sky.

One last #WeekOforOpulent The early 19th cent Pillar Hall at Belsay was intended to impress, fashioned in the Greek Revival style. The doric pillars supporting the portico are copied from an Athenian temple. The architect looked to Rome for the layout, based on the ancient villa #AlphabetChallenge
