You didn't invalidate anything. I hadn't considered that only having them for some select fandoms probably feels bad for fans of smaller franchises but it feels slimy to me in general. But I guess I'm glad people can have terrifier heads for popcorn. I just don't get it.

My statement was more exasperation at how something that used to be special has just been co-opted by consumerism. Maybe it always was that way but walking into a movie theater and just every movie has one. I guess it's less gatekeepery but it just feels so capitalist.

I just think we need to prevent anyone from ever having over X dollars and take away everything anyone has that's above that. I'm even willing to be generous, 500m. Once you're above that you get 0. It probably should be much much lower.
