Cats, philodendrons, typewriters, clocks, queers, spiritual folk, healthcare, (progressive) Lutherans, bungalows . . . the list goes on. Healthcare, housing, and education should not be expenses that people in the USA are forced to stress about.

Did you know the coffee brand “Sanka,” was essentially a phonetic portmanteau of “SANs CAffeine”?

Caffeinated (yay) and at work (eh).

The place is all Xmased up. I just want a bowl of sage dressing with gravy before I do the winter solstice decorations. Personally. #carbs

Amid all that is going on in this country, yesterday evening I visited a friend and then drove half an hour to Mystic Lake, where I and a different friend went to the Matteo Lane show. It was SO GOOD to just sit there and laugh for a while. Grateful. Needed that. Great show.

The cats were shredding my couch so I got one of those slipcovers made in [wherever] and I did not want beige and wasn't sure about the blues or greens so I opted for "rust" and oh man, my friends, it is like 1970's orange. *laugh* Oh dear. Also the fabric is like Ford Taurus upholstery.

NEW: Epstein survivors release the most powerful PSA I have ever seen.

Make this go viral so every member of the House of Representatives sees it.

The city sent me a note that my water service line is made of lead. They will replace it in the next 7ish years.

I feel so Roman Empire!

The floor drain in the basement needed roto-rooter. Afterward, I decided to do a load of laundry as a test and, y'all, the wash water went right down the drain, It was fabulous. It drained like a drain ought to drain. 'Twas a thing of beauty.

The things that bring grownups joy, I tell ya. . .

And now that I'm grown up I've learned, like, it really is not all THAT difficult. Yay!

The soft pedaling language being used to describe the men in the Epstein files is enraging.

They didn’t “have sex with underage girls”.

They raped them.

Sex implies consent.

The survivors deserve better than this. Use the correct language. Say what these men did.

It's been a chilly, damp day outside and I have gotten a few things done, including a bit of a nap. (I laid down, and two cats immediately decided I was cat furniture, so I was stuck there for a little bit.) This is Twin Cities Leather Weekend and I really don't own leather but will cheer.

Yesterday at work a resident had a big old meltdown alllll over me. I don't think that sparked joy for either of us. But then I got to talk with one of my late-80yr-old lesbians, and I felt so much better about life. Thank goodness for the people we can be real with, you know?
