Just a personal pov (and perhaps a unique fault) but I would been have been utterly unfit to (politically) represent others in my teens. Unless of course ‘representation’ here means the dumb implementation of a hateful ideology.

Just reading back,you mentioned pepperball shot. I never heard of that. I’m no longer serving &this may be new tech. I googled and saw the chest of a man covered in 25-30 bruises. The use of force typically escalates the response. The US public seem to have behaved admirably in difficult conditions

The issue is are the assault rifles cocked? We would only cock our weapons if there was an imminent threat of eg. sniper fire (so in receipt of very specific intelligence). I suspect ICE cock their weapons because US gun culture. It is ludicrous misuse of firearms and endangering public lives.

Difficult to say. Assault rifles are unwieldy when dealing with public protest, whether peaceful or not. We didn’t carry side arms during my first operational tour (Northern Ireland) because they’re easy to snatch. But this is a peaceful crowd protesting against warrantless (so-illegal) arrests.

I’m staggered by how heavily armed these goons are against a non-violent public. I served on counter-insurgency operations (with bombs and bullets as it were) with less armament! This is as much about projection of image. It’s like biggest dick contest. Pathetic.
