The amount of pissed I am over my job the last few weeks is fucking wild. I have never been this frustrated over people continuously not doing their fucking jobs as I am right now. My department should not have to be continuously chasing people to answer their goddamn emails

Yunho was on his back, lying along the very edge of the mattress, one hand draped across his mid-riff, the other tucked beneath his thigh. Wooyoung knew he tended to hog the duvet in his sleep, but whoever shared the bed with him usually put up some resistance. Yunho simply lay naked to the late-autumn chill from the open window. And yet, how human he looked like this, with his black hair fanned out softly against the lavender pillow. His breaths came unnaturally far apart, but they were even and steady, making his frame rise and fall. His hand followed the movement like a bird on the water. Little birthmarks dotted his skin. How strange to imagine someone liked him at birth, screaming for air, redfaced. Wooyoung wondered how many lifetimes had passed since then. He tracked a constellation of the tiny marks, running from the corner of one eye and down Yunho’s cheek. The difference wasn't that he looked deathly, but lifelike. A finger twitched, his eyelashes fluttered. Do vampires dream?

screenshot from discord of a fic idea: archer yeo, stable lad jongho who starts leaving little talismans tucked into the saddle to bring yeo home safe. jongho is strong and capable, and wishes he could do his part & fight for the kingdom, but his aging father needs his help to manage the stables, a family obligation not to be taken lightly. jongho tries to tell himself he's doing his part by taking care of the horses, keeping them well-fed and strong, soothing them when they return anxious and spooked from battle. still he's always a bit bitter seeing the warriors ride off like heroes and he can't help how uncomfortable and closed-off he gets around them. but yeosang is different. he's gentle and kind to his horse, patient and polite with jongho, and so damn beautiful. jongho's well aware yeosang is lethal, but he can't help but want to protect the light in yeosang's eyes, his shy smiles, the cute habit he has of having entire one-sided conversations with his horse while tending to him. jongho feels like a fool, as if a warrior like yeosang, known far and wide for his skill and fierceness in battle, would ever need the protection of a coward like him. still, he can't stand lying awake worrying every time yeosang leaves. jongho's picked up a skill or two from his aunt, the woman who taught him the songs to soothe a warhorse's nightmares and tinctures to slip into rowdy soldiers' drinks when they were too drunk on power, and one night he sits up crafting a talisman to hide in yeosang's saddle, just to feel like he's done something. yeosang is confused when he takes the saddle off his horse at the encampment that night and finds the little trinket stitched in, neat and secure, between the layers of leather and woven textile. he would never have noticed it if the light from a nearby torch hadn't glinted off the metal for just a split second as he was maneuvering the equipment around. he has no idea what any of the symbols on it mean, or who left it there, but surprisingly it doesn't make him uncomfortable. yeosang's not gifted in the folk magic he knows is practiced among the local people in these parts, but he always trusts his own instincts, and the energy the object gives off is benevolent. warm. he leaves it where it is at first, but as he lies down to sleep on his worn bedroll, it's like he can feel the pull of it. with the help of a pocket knife, he carefully pries the talisman loose, before finding a leather cord to fasten it to like a pendant. he ties the cord around his neck and tucks the talisman into his shirt. the cool metal against his skin immediately makes him feel calm, almost loved. there's no doubt in his heart someone gave this to him for his protection. but who? (cue jongho choking on thin air when two weeks later he sees the talisman peeking out of yeosang's shirt when he's bent over, tending the hoof of his horse at the stables)

btw for tidal loves that miss being able to play their local files - roon is doing a $3 for 3 months trial for black friday. roon combines your streaming and your local files into 1 server and can even further upscale the sound quality. i absolutely LOVE roon, i just can't afford a 2nd music sub lol
