Friendly reminder that Tidal ($10.99) is now cheaper than Spotify ($11.99), delivers better audio quality, pays its artists 2x as much, and generally doesn't allow AI slop.

You can move your entire music library over in a matter of minutes.

Sheesh. Not even a talk about what the crimes are? Like there are crimes I’d definitely be ok with. Like theft from a certain right wing craft store.

A fluffy tuxedo cat is sitting in a fall tree - the leaves are in vivid yellow, red and hot pink tones and frame the cat against blue sky a painting of a black cat with big round eyes sitting in a pumpkin patch. in the background we can see a countryside landscape with fields and a small cottage. there are chickens in the grass nearby and a wheelbarrow filled with pumpkins with a black cat sleeping on them. there's also a black cat in front of the house door in the distance. the color palette is warm oranges, pinks, yellows and muted greens. Drawing of a black cat strolling through a colorful early autumn landscape drawing of a black cat with a babushka headscarf stirring a pot of pumpkin soup with a wooden spoon she's holding with her teeth. she's surrounded by labeled pumpkin soup ingredients like garlic, ginger, hot pepper, pumpkin, coconut milk or cream, and garlic bread to serve with the soup.

Yeah it worked well, and I did some editing in Nomad to fix some small things, but basically I just did it in one shot! Took an hour from start to finish from no scan at all to get it looking that cleaned up

There’s been nothing that I’ve see that draws me to it in any way. It’s not bad, just not… interesting?

I was talking about the "Think about an apple" thing to a friend, & how when people think about it something forms in their head, whether its a color, shape, outline, or more detailed... for me I feel it, the waxy texture, the weight, the shape in my hand, the sound it makes. Anyone else like that?

Art is weird for me, because yeah I have the ability to draw ok, but I get so in my head about it all. I think I just have a hard time with 2d stuff, vs 3d, because my mind thinks in 3d- in shape and feel.

Exactly. It's a tough subject because I also know the history with it. As an artist I am inspired by it all, but know I'm an outsider and need to respect that, but I also can't deny that it was super important to me. Those stories are what I grew up with in a way, and all of it helped shape me.

Those masks are why I make suits and masks today. It instilled in me a fascination for story telling and reshaping the human form. To this day I remember the tales of the Raven, the puffins, & more. If you're ever in SW WA, go see them & if you can see a living history performance www.lelooska.org

as the structure weakened, it can still be seen in my home town. I was brought up going to the Lelooska foundation & cultural center, and remember fondly going to the cedar longhouse and listening to traditional tales told by him around the fire. The masks he carved were something that stuck with me
