Honestly, I'm so upset I can barely put a post together. Kudos to those who can.

@mark-carney.bsky.social has picked the wrong fight. He has sided with Big Oil, hard-right Alberta politics, Trumpism, and the past.

The BC Coast, Coastal First Nations will win.
Pipeline grand bargain MOU signed today by @mark-carney.bsky.social is a betrayal on climate, on our obligation to First Nations and to our children.

4 companies will benefit the most: Suncor, CNRL, Imperial Oil and Cenovus. All majority foreign owned.

How do Canadian taxpayers feel about that?

Exactly! "(*) PS Why only then?"

The excessive emissions of private jets are an assault. A start on the coming New Year's day could be justified. (And even so this wouldn't end the assault and its impact, but merely impose a penalty.)
From 2030*, passengers of private jets departing from the Netherlands will pay a flight tax of €420 to €2,100, depending on distance. So far, they only paid €29.40, just like ordinary airline passengers.

Yay for Dutch parliament!

Can we now just call it what it is: Environmental Pesticide Agency
The EPA is starting to allow the use of pesticides containing PFAS on food. The move is part of an effort to roll back the regulation of PFAS — also known as "forever chemicals" because they don't break down easily in the environment.

Media need to stop selling this false dichotomy too
Any political “leader” still selling the obviously false choice between #ClimateAction and “the economy” is just reminding us that they clearly don’t understand either the climate crisis OR the economy.

Or they’re cynically hope that WE don’t understand the difference.

Or both.
