For those who just met me, my tennis stringing journey began long ago. In 2020 I summoned the courage to dig out my dad’s stringing machine from more than 30 years of storage. This, for me, is where it began, in 1973. Still love to string 51 years & more than 85,000 string jobs later #ThanksDad 🙏🎾❤️

Electronic line calling failures have been piling up, including one moment in Cincinnati where video review had to be used to determine if a ball had landed in or out.

I do hold the players I cheer for to a higher standard off being gracious in both victory and defeat. Have always thought of it as good sportsmanship, and something to aspire to. But I guess it’s not for everyone.

Looking across the park after hitting some tennis balls, I see young kids in the distance w/ their parents at the playground. As a parent of young adults, this view, distant and a little out of focus, captures how that time in my life feels at this moment. Even so, the laughter still makes me smile❤️

No, unfortunately I don’t. They didn’t make all that many, or for very long, so grommets/headguards went quickly. Only see one on eb*y, and it’s from a guy in Georgia who has hard to find items, and charges crazy high prices for them (wants $200) for the set for your Mono 😬

Had one of my older #tennis racquets painted by #CustomTennisRacquet 😊🎾

One of my older tennis racquets, a Dunlop Aerogel 4D 500 Tour, got a new metallic white paint job by #CustomTennisRacquet. Has a mother-of-pearl appearance. I strung it with a Solinco Mach-10/Hyper-G Round hybrid. 🎾
