This is very fun, just need to save up more holiday money!
This is a first, AFAIK. Eco-holiday firm @bywaytravel has created a map-based booking page where you can create your own holiday or short break by train to whatever cities on whatever dates. Give it a go! www.byway.travel/map/?utm_sou...

Sharing my response to the #GetBritainWorking White Paper that I posted over on Linkedin in a thread.

A cautious welcome:

It positions the high numbers of people not working, or seeking work, for reasons of health and disability (notice I don’t use the term ‘inactive’?) as a key problem >

Congratulations!
Please enjoy this visualisation of Bluesky swears, including an audible delivery by a funny little voice and direct clickthrough to the post responsible for the profanity to celebrate.
PS Sound down in the presence of the easily offended.
PPS I didn't make it.

There has been a lot of commentary on the assisted dying Bill and the level of scrutiny it will receive in Parliament.

This thread, by Paul Evans (a former senior official at the House of Commons), is very clear and informative.
1/18 I don't want to enter the argument about assisted dying on one side or the other, but the debate prompted me to say something about parliamentary procedure in making legislation. I am often a critic of current legislative procedure, but here I want to defend some aspects.

obviously journalists deserve to get paid and paywalls do that but we also can't ignore the fact that the internet is full of mis/disinformation and low quality news, and all of *that* is free, you can't just go "errr people must pay for quality reporting!!" while ignoring the broader environment

The is the only graph you need - the distributional analysis of the Budget.

This was a massively redistributive Budget that looks after lower and middle income working people first
