ahh thank you for reading! I’ve complied a list of everything I watched (a lot of it didn’t make the final draft) if that’s of use?

this took a lot of work and only some of it my own, I cannot thank @clairembullen.bsky.social enough for the time she took to understand what I was trying to say and the sharpness of thought and guidance she gave to get the piece where it needed to be, it was a dream to work with her on this

Fantastic article from @rachelhendry.bsky.social as per on the social perception of cask beer for CAMRA. Chuffed to provide illustrations for it. It's cask ale week somewhere: learn.camra.org.uk/courses/cask...

On the common ground between cask beer and sparkling wine by the boss @rachelhendry.bsky.social for @camraofficial.bsky.social. Bunch of illustrations on a super interesting comparison: learn.camra.org.uk/courses/comm...
square illustration of two boats passing each other in the night. Pint of cask in the foreground in a humble wooden boat waves at a flute of sparkling wine in a more expensive liner.

It is! I've been wanting to write about natural wine (pet nat specifically) and cask beer for a while, I think the overlap between them is so interesting! Yet consumed and perceived so differently!

This article by @rachelhendry.bsky.social for @pelliclemag.com is so wonderful that I would love to frame it and hang it on the wall.

Do we want to create a thread with beer mats of football clubs? Let me start with #Altona93. Feel free to share and reply with others! 👇🏽

My local have one commemorating their cat’s 10th birthday!
The beer mat is a painting of the pub cat, with a pint of beer and a glass of red wine at her side and circled by the words ‘Happy birthday Beyoncé’ in calligraphic text.

This article tickled my brain, and now I'm thinking about how intentionally disposable things record history in totally different ways than all stuff that tries (lol) to last forever.

Anyway, here's a Löwenbräu coaster from the 1964 World's Fair in New York.
Top/front (I think) face of a beer coaster made by Munich's Löwenbräu for their beer garden at the 1964 World's Fair in New York. Shows the brewery's lion crest in the center, surrounded by the towering New York skyline. Around the rim is printed "Löwenbräu München" and around the top is "Weltausstellung New York 1964-65."
