On social media, I’m always feeling like a master of perfectly empty and ignorable comments.

(the rates don't change all -that- drastically though, so calculating how much something costs right now will be rather similar to how it's going to be next year)

Exchange rates are constantly shifting, so IMO it makes sense to budget local prices (not plane tickets which would probably be bought for your currency) in local currency, then divide them by exchange rate (rate of buying local currency for 1 USD) for easier understanding
