Have a WIP of chapter one my #Jayvik 5+1 DooM AU for @jvhorrorweek.bsky.social day 3!

Life has been so crazy that I haven't had time to focus on these! Hoping to get the other two main AU's chapter 1's done in time!
Viktor had never seen his husband this frazzled or careless. "Jayce, what is going on?" Viktor turned to his husband, moving towards him, mind no longer caring about the outside world even as he heard a sudden bellow of screams from it. "Where are we going?" Jayce paused only for a moment, his eyes wild he stared at the man before him. "We have our new assignment from Doctor Hayden." the words came out fast, as if he didn't even have the time to speak. "The rumors were true, Viktor." With that, Jayce turned back to his task. "What rumors?" Viktor didn't need clarification, not really. He knew what Jayce was talking about. The rumors that the science they were partaking it was far more dangerous than they were allowed to know. The rumors that one false step would lead to fire and brimstone. The rumors that Olivia Pierce had made a deal with devils, leading to the damnation of the entire Mars base. "The shit we were doing, what we were experimenting with… We were fucking around with Hell, Viktor!" Jayce shoved the last of what he could into the suit case, pausing only for a moment to leave room for what Viktor would grab. In the end, Viktor grabbed only one thing, his mind realing in shock at Jayce's words. A single framed photo from their wedding, eyes bright and faces beaming at the prospect of a new future for humanity, nestling it against the clothes like the sacred keepsake that it was before he moved to change into the clothes Jayce had provided him as Jayce forced the suitcase shut.

WIPWednesday, and you guessed it! More #Jayvik medical angst with my fic, Resus Room

(This fic has turned into a beast. This is officially the longest one shot I ha e ever written)
"How is he? Jayce stammered out. "Is he going to be okay? Is he awake? Can I see him?" The nurse raised her hand to put a pause to the deluge of questions thrown at her. "He's stable, at least for right now." She answered, and the flood of relief Jayce felt was dizzying. Viktor was still alive. The thought made Jayce want to weep. "You can come in and see him. I can update you as we walk." Jayce gave a nod, unable to form the words he needed as he kept close behind. He strained his ears, doing what he could to hear the nurse of the beeping of monitors and the whistling of nurse call bells as they walked down the halls. "I apologize for it taking so long to get back to you." she explained, eyes directed forward as she lead Jayce through the halls. "We had to run several tests and get scans. The good news is he is not showing signs of anoxic brain injury." She gave a quick glance over her shoulder, her expression that of professional warmth as she spoke her next words. "Your quick action when he collapsed very likely saved his life. Remember that."

Only, Viktor is trying to experiment with Hextech, doing so in secret while still being Heimerdinger's assistant. This takes place just before the events of the episode.

(once again, I may love medical angst, but I promise there will be no MCD okay love you bye!)
"It seems you are listed as his emergency contact and listed as his patient advocate designation." the nurse pointed out. Being Viktor's emergency contact was something Jayce was already aware, something that was discussed when Viktor had first moved in, when Jayce learned Viktor had no family to call his own and few he would even consider aquaintances, but the other designation left him confused. "What does it mean that I am his patient advocate?" Jayce's voice shook at the question, finding himself unsure if he even wanted to know the answer. "It means he has listed you as the point of contact to make healthcare decisions for him if he is unable to." she answered, the words kind but clinical. "Approving life saving measures, surgery, treatment," her eyes met Jayce's, a seriousness to her expression as she spoke the next works. "End of life care, such as in the case of taking him off of life support in the case of brain death." Jayce choked out a sob, the words striking him like a knife to the heart. He shook his head, chair scooting back, Jayce moving as if he were trying to put distance between himself and the concept of needing to take Viktor off of life support if he were to find himself in that situation. "No… no. He's going to live." he spoke the words with a desperate conviction. "He's going to make it through this, he is going to come home…" The shake in his voice betrayed his wavering resolve as tears began to well into his eyes. Jayce took a shaky breath, staring at the nurse before him, trying to read her for anything that may give him any indication of hope. He had to hold onto hope. "… Right?" It was a question as much as it was a plea. "We are doing everything we can right now." the nurse assured, doing her best to ease Jayce's fears, without promise of success.

Viktor had no family to call his own, no romantic ties to anyone, and the thought of him waking up, when he woke up— If he woke up— Made Jayce sick.

Wip #jayvik wednesday! Working on my Jayce performing CPR fic (tentatively titled Resus Room)

The world needs more Jayvik medical angst and I will be the change I wish to see in the world.
"Viktor?" his name may have been cried out next to his ear, but it sounded miles away, underwater and distorted. It was called again, further this time, and Viktor knew he was fading fast. He wanted to apologize, for what, Viktor didn't know. For worrying Jayce? For burdening him? He could feel the cold tile of the store against his back, hear Jayce's cursing, begging for him to stay with him, hands gentle as he heard Jayce demand for someone to call am ambulance. Viktor didn't need a hospital. He clung to that fact as he felt the pounding in his chest come to a halt. It will be alright. A strange sense of peace fell over Viktor as he thought the words, moments before his world went dark, the peace of the void dragging him under.

Wip wednesday! I was hoping tk have more of my Jayce performing CPR on Viktor fic for today, but alas moving is consuming me. So have some VTitN rewrite of Jayce struggling in a scuffle with Singed.

In a desperate bid, Jayce backed up, using what strength he had to slam the doctor against the shelf in the living room. He managed to dislodge the doctor, the action causing the shelf to tilt dangerously. It wasn't until he realized which shelf that Jayce watched in dread, unable to react. Rattling precariously sat the urn, sat all he had left of Viktor, the box with the engagement ring already falling to the floor as the shelf tilted forward. Jayce tried to move, tried to reach out, but he could only watch in absolute grief as the container was soon hurtling towards the hardwood floor. It slammed against the floor, the ceramic breaking from the velocity as the contents poured out. Contents as dark as black sand.

Been trying to catch up on my Warhammer novels (good luck me lol) And well...

Now I am thinking of Titan princeps Jayce and Titan machine spirit Viktor.

I can Jayvik everything. I don't even think touching grass will help anymore.
There is also a perverse effect to the mind-link: it is highly addictive to the Human mind. From the moment they manage to dominate his Titan's Machine Spirit, the princeps will actively crave being linked to their god-engine, for the feeling of becoming a godlike machine of destruction is impossibly intense, and living as a mere Human eventually becomes intolerable for some princeps. Alas, this withdrawal also accelerates the princeps' descent into madness, straining their mind when they are not linked to their mighty war machine. If a princeps does not fall in battle, they will ultimately fall to the Machine Spirit of their Titan when their will finally snaps. The mind-link is a very intimate and immersive connection, causing the princeps and the Titan to leave an imprint in each other's consciousness and grow increasingly alike over time. The Titan's Machine Spirit will learn from its princeps and from the battles they take part in, storing the knowledge and making it available at all times and to any princeps that will command the war machine in the future. The princeps on the other hand, will, with time, begin to show traits of character akin to those of his or her war engine. The nature of the Machine Spirits varies between individual Titans, however war engines of the same class will be similar.

Jayce started to make his way down the hall, pausing when he heard the click of the apartment door. He froze, wondering if he was hearing things. "Viktor?" he couldn't stop the hope in his voice as he turned, despite the truth he had known for six months. Despite being told his partner was never coming back. Instead of the man Jayce had grown to love, the one his heart ached for, was the man that had saved Viktor's life. Face covered by a surgical mask, damaged eye fogged over and blind, skin scarred, the doctor looked horrifying in the darkness of the apartment. "How the hell did you get in here?" Jayce said, eyes wide as he stared at Corin Reveck, watching him with wary eyes as the doctor stepped closer. His heart thud in his chest, though he felt more frustrated than anything. Had his mother heard him slip out the door? Had she called for help to ensure her son got medical attention for his broken mind. Jayce realized how little sense that made. A doctor that researched new drugs would not be the one to bring in a broken man into a psychiatric facility. Something was off, and that feeling started to well up into his gut. "I need you to come with." Corin's voice came out, flat and emotionless, the command with no room for argument. "I need you to leave." Jayce said cautiously, warning edging into his voice as he began to bag away. He caught the sight of Corin's eyes, and it set Jayce on edge as the man drew closer. "I hope that you will come willingly." Corin's voice was laced with mild amusement at Jayce's posturing, his hands fumbling in the messenger bag at his side before drawing out a needle. "However, considering the circumstances and the fact that I need to resort to using you to get the core to be compliant, I will use force as necessary. Whatever the needle contained, Jayce had no desire to find out.
