i occasionally go back there to check on fstwitter and there'll be like two interesting posts and the rest is fash ragebait by bluetick accounts, it's just not worth it
I quit the former Twitter two years ago this week, and I am here to tell you that my online life got a lot better for having left it. In two years I've not been tempted to go back, and I haven't felt any penalty in either career or community for not being there. It's nice to be here and not there.

i maintain that it is better if "old man yaoi" is not parsed as a genre designation but as the name of a person – constructed along the lines of monikers such as "old man john" or "spiders georg", just that their given name is "yaoi", and they're the spirit of gay romance fiction or some such thing
