saw 'Weapons'. if you haven't seen it, you should see it. very very very good.
you know what - and this is the god's honest - I almost loaded it up on monday but went with blood bowl instead. once that's gone, we're gonna XCOM everywhere
you don't have to actually physically BE THERE and to SEE their work
there's an app that will set you up with social events with total strangers and whilst I understand people get lonely I cannot think of anything worse

There's not a single Apple TV show that you can watch with the big light on while you do some ironing
We've got an idea. Hopefully people like it
in "how ancient do I want to feel today" I discover that william shatner was 51 when he was in wrath of khan and meant to be near retirement and old and wearing reading glasses and basically being put out to pasture.

I'm 49. in TWO YEARS people will be trying to retire me. this is the end.
you dont understand. his girlfriend did a thing so WOMEN ARE ALL THE SAME
If youre going to be using kitchen roll anytime soon for GOD'S SAKE check that the tolerance is within 5%
can't remember the last time so many comedians lost so many fans in so short a time
for anyone thinking it's all bad news
praying for the people of war-torn Portland 🙏
if the lad who wrote the mormon religion just said "this is a sci fi novel" it would have just been a pretty forgettable sci fi novel and he would be considered a pioneer of that genre. shame. missed a trick.
and of course...there's always next season!
but I love this team. because mets fans are realists, and realists are all pessimists. being a mets fan is a great lesson in life. it's about failing over and over, it's about getting your hopes up and seeing them dashed, it's about being mocked and ridiculed but still stepping up to the plate
looking at Mets history the whole point of supporting the team is that we KNOW this is reality. this is what it's like all the time and forever. even when we won in '86, that famous game 6 win was down to a terrible error by buckner. we didn't do shit! mookie should have grounded out
mclean coming up was great. he looks the real deal. maybe in the off season we can make him a real Met and ruin his career. soto got on base a lot but given that he's the most expensive player I expected some actual clutch hitting. he never felt like "the guy". did we even walk any off this year?
meaning we just aren't closing games out. we aren't ruthless. teams didn't look afraid of our bats at all and when you look at guys like vientos or alvarez (for example) they will swing at anything. I think the pitcher could have thrown to yankees stadium and alvo would still swing.
what went wrong? we could get on base, but we couldn't hit with runners. our starting pitchers routinely gave up terrible innings leading to lost games. our bullpen wasn't great. a lot of the time we fielded poorly and made routine plays look beyond us. we lost a LOT of games by the odd run or two
this season as a mets fan has been very, very strange. we started off amazingly well - best team in baseball they said - but we seasoned mets vets knew what that meant. and it happened. inevitably we became the WORST team in baseball for several months culminating in this...miserable ending
quick question - have any of you EVER filled out one of those "how are we doing" customer surveys large companies randomly send out OTHER than when they have just done something you would love to complain about?
I've bored people with this previously but the entirety of Hill Street Blues is on internet archive and you should absolutely watch it not only because it's gripping telly, ground breaking in its time, and also very very funny - but also to spot just how many actors started off as bit parts on it
