Right now I don’t even know how to process this, but I do know that all decent people have to stick together, support each other and fight back
Four words that tell you all you need to know about the state of American democracy - ‘partisan gerrymandering is legal’. That’s right, legal.
Indiana GOP is going for it: They've released a proposed map that'd likely lock in a 9-0 GOP congressional delegation & flip the 2 currently held by Dems. Indianapolis would be cracked into GOP seats, and Gary would be drowned in red.

The big question: Will the Senate still stop it?
The Indiana House has released a proposed new congressional map.

More useful data about the joys of being governed by Reform. Make a note.
Reform UK went into Durham Council promising to find huge savings. They have managed to GROW the authority's deficit by over £11m *in the last two months*.

Grimes recommends “serious consideration” to increasing council tax “by the maximum 5%.” ~AA

Anyone sharing a house, as I do, with three cats, will be able to identify strongly with Butler’s classic novel, in which humans are adopted by and forced to live with a strange, inscrutable alien species whose feelings, manners and intentions are entirely unfathomable.

I oppose the death penalty but, let’s put this way, I won’t be outside the prison walls protesting or holding a vigil, if that’s the sentence that is one day meted out to Hegseth.
WASH POST: “As two men clung to a stricken, burning ship targeted by SEAL Team 6, the Joint Special Operations commander followed Hegseth’s order to leave no survivors.”

What if Trump is not fully human? Just a bloated lump of animated flesh with a big black hole inside where normal human qualities of kindness, empathy and consideration should normally reside.
Asked if he’ll attend the funeral of West Virginia National Guard member Sarah Beckstrom, Trump said:

“It’s certainly something I can conceive of… I won West Virginia by one of the biggest margins of any president anywhere.”

But in the late 1990s, a Wired journalist warned of a toxic ideology bubbling up from tech. Paulina Borsook has largely been erased. Let's change that

Brexit has turned us into a joke country, economically crippled, diplomatically neutered, power and prestige all but vanished, laughed at and pitied by the rest of the word. Nice work Nigel.
"By 2025, Brexit had reduced UK GDP by 6% to 8%, with the impact accumulating gradually over time. We estimate that investment was reduced by between 12% and 18%, employment by 3% to 4% and productivity by 3% to 4%"
