Whenever people use the "he" pronoun with me, it feels restrictive and flat.
Whenever people use the "she" pronoun with me, it feels radiant and sparkly.
Whenever people use the "they" pronoun with me, it feels calming and spacious.

Would computer mice be a thing at all if avocados didn't exist?
March 5, 2024 at 8:18 PM
Do you think the computer mouse was invented because somebody cut an avocado in half?

Anyone else loves dancing but avoids it because of the strict men/women divide? Not all dances ofc, but I find it so annoying and limiting that a lot of the instructors don't get that you can make stuff inclusive by just saying "leader" and "follower" and normalising role fluidity...

Mainly in Nigeria. It's a tonal language, which is super fascinating. I have an interest in the music of the region (via Afro-Brazilian music and jazz), and it's obviously informed by the language, the songs, the dances, etc.

Hi Marie! I speak Polish/English/Portuguese fluently. Used to speak French but it's a bit forgotten now. Want to learn Yoruba when I have the time and resources. Japanese must be interesting. Do you have anyone to speak it with?

Just on the off-chance this comes across as sarcastic, just want to clarify that I really appreciate your honesty and it makes me feel more sane about feeling this way sometimes, too.
