it's worth occasionally reflecting on how AEW has changed wrestling. Imagine telling someone 8 years ago that a major PPV would end with the dramatic post-match reveal of a babyface Prince Nana, and the pre-show would have a commentary team of Tony Schiavone, Nigel McGuinness and The Big Show.

I love this match, a neat perfect model for balancing heat and hope in a way WWE so rarely do.
It's also a brilliant use of that brief period of the brand split where the champion appeared on both shows, & could have a PPV feud on one while working with a midcarder on the other.

I love this match, a neat perfect model for balancing heat and hope in a way WWE so rarely do.

Brodido’s made me actually think about the “two singles guys as a tag team” thing. American wrestling ruined that by making it “can they coexist?” and they win anyway. Funnily enough, when you do it well it’s actually good.
