advancement in said B plot: using Vapecord (which I've had installed in the meantime) to backup the town file does export it at intended size. pretty great. still no idea whats going on here

current A plot: fighting to get through personal project ive put off for a while (unmedicated, as per uzhe (usual))

current B plot: my New Leaf save backups are all above the size save editors allow them and i haven't figured out why (the game still runs completely fine)

couple specifics for that last part:
• started ~1 day after installing a texture swap + Census Menu restoration mod, never seen anyone have this issue w/ them + hasnt resolved after removing both from the SD card
• it's probably not Checkpoint/JKSM's fault
• i have a backup at normal size from prior
