Yeah, this is why I advocate for civil disobedience, or nonviolent direct action. Certainly not "peaceful" in the quiet & obedient sense. Very disruptive & even destructive if necessary, but carefully so, to keep each other safe, reduce the risk of escalating violence, & keep the moral high ground.

I think we need to build a regenerative culture for organising so it becomes people's community and home. Somewhere people can have their social life, work, family, take rest, get and give support, sharing food and music and tools. Easier said than done, particularly under capitalism.

Yep. So many were so keen to congratulate her for simply not being Trump, they didn't stop to check who she is. But then the Democrats in the USA have exactly the same intention of overthrowing all socialism in South America and calling it democracy, so they probably don't care.

For years, this was part of a path through the land, but it's now an impenetrable tangle of gorse and young trees.

As the trees grow, the gorse and other vegetation will be shaded out, and I'll be able to pass again, but through *rainforest*.

Scrub is how natural forest ecosystems form.

We must be ready. Join a group e.g. Stand Up To Racism, XR, a local growers co-op, a homelessness charity. Get educated on the issues, read up on civil resistance, books like "Let This Radicalize You". Build alliances between groups. Only community & inclusive collective action can stop fascism.

All but the least disruptive, most passive & compliant protest has been criminalised in the UK. And now the government want the police to stop even that if it's done "too often".

Protest is a human right, a foundation of democracy, and if it's denied, civil disobedience becomes a moral duty.
