Done a lot of consolidation of my cameras this year. I think I’m finally starting to figure out what does and doesn’t work for me, and what I just find cool to use.

this album is really growing on me (also the cover art is great)

I have such mixed feelings on my Hasselblad 500 C/M these days. It doesn't see a whole lot of use, since if I have to take a big bag, I may as well pack my view camera (it's not even that much heavier). And it's too big and noisy for using around the city.

Sigh. I bought a monorail camera to fit the Heliar.

well, guess I'm now learning how to use OpenSCAD
December 23, 2025 at 3:23 PM
So…the retaining ring of the Heliar does not fit through the lens hole in the front standard of my camera (however it does almost perfectly sit in the lip around it)…this means I either need to design and 3D print a special lens board, or have a smaller retaining ring custom machined

Everything about this photo is a fuckup. I thought I was in aperture priority mode but shutter was really set to 4000. The dev chemistry is uneven and I dropped the negative on the carpet before it finished drying covering it in dust.

I really love it.

One of my favourite photos is taken with an Olympus O-Product, a shitty low-end point-and-shoot in a premium designer shell

The Fuji tilt/shift macro only goes to 1:2 magnification. Does this mean I need to spend (checks notes) three-hundred and thirty euros on an extension tube(???)

I think one of the most useful camera-related things I've learnt to do is adjust a rangefinder.

The lovely people at the photo store loaned me a Godox AD200 Pro while my Pro II is on order, so I have a pretty good “studio” setup now

Unhappy accident

Shen Hao HZX45 IIA • Leitz Hektor 1:2.5/150mm • Kodak Tri-X Pan 320

I didn't attach my bellows properly. The result is a massive light leak no amount of curve adjustments or masks can seem to fix. Maybe I just need Photoshop.

picked up a proper tripod and geared head for home studio work. it’s so good vs the peak design travel tripod i was using that would sag under the weight of the gfx tilt-shift macro.
