Ok, no one told me that painting #LPS would be so damn hard. These things actively reject paint. See those white marks on the chest and toes? Those are where the black paint ribbed off after drying. So I scrapped my original idea and just put more white on the chest to make it look purposeful.

Youka Nitta lost her entire career because she copied one photo from a magazine in a side illustration for the characters in her manga. Nick Simmons lost his burgeoning career because he copied Bleach for his manga. The Windbreaker webtoon was just cancelled due to copying. Just don't.

I will use 20 reference photos on a single drawing sometimes, just take inspiration from the bits and pieces and actually transform it into your own thing.

In short, NEVER copy or trace an image that you don't have the rights to. If you took the picture yourself, go nuts. If the picture came from a pose photographer that is offering the photo for free, trace away, as long as you credit the photographer. If you've paid for the rights to the photo, 👍

This is the sort of thing I want to show all the "tracing is totally ok!" people. I've never seen these people never go into details on what sort of stuff is OK to copy, leaving young or beginning artists thinking tracing is totally acceptable and is never going to get them in trouble.

Jeezus christ, how come whenever I get a private message, it's only ever gonna be the stupidest scammers on the planet. I've only got a little over 200 followers, half of which are blocked bot, AI, and repost accounts, I'm sure.

Not gonna censor the account, scammers this stupid deserve to be outed

The world's stupidest scammer trying to convince me that someone is impersonating me to scam people. Literally no one knows who I am, if you gave someone pretending to be a complete nobody money, then you deserve this lesson in hard knocks.
