I’ve been using Dover copyright free images and type specimen scans to decorate my very beginner thrown pots! It’s like #letterpress printing in the round ✨

It’s true there are risks, but generally if I wash my hands and don’t eat or drink while handling the type it lowers the risk significantly. Now a type caster working w/ molten type fumes—I’m not so sure!

Often referred to as “lead type,” it is really an alloy of 54-86% lead, 11-28% antimony & 3-18% tin. Antimony hardens the metal. Tin toughens the metal, counteracting the brittleness of antimony➡️ But what’s on my hands is dust & dirt accumulation b/c the drawers were stored unused & outside 4 some ⏰

Anyone got any good #podcast recommendations that aren’t super newsy/current events? (I listen to plenty of those already) I really despise banter/interview styles and prefer a sweeping story told. I sincerely miss podcasts like The Truth and Heavyweight and I love Criminal and This is Love. Help!

My newest print! “Take Cover" #Woodcut, E.V. of 25 (b/c some prints are on Mulberry & the other paper is Cougar) Mulberry here measures 25"x31". I printed this with the talented students at The University of Utah!
