Hello to everyone on Blue Sky. Here's a quick intro:

My claim to fame is that I led the digital campaign to fight Brexit including the tactical vote campaign in 2019, in the process becoming the biggest political advertiser in the UK.
I was not wrong, was I?

Again remembering the GOP rep who responded to Pres. Obama once wearing a tan suit to a press conference with “There’s no way any of us can excuse what the pres. did.”

Now we’re just cool with the US pres threatening Denmark/Greenland, kidnapping leader of VZ/stealing their oil, invading MN, etc.
Trump just posted this. Coup the twat already.

The far right’s new slur “AWFUL” isn’t just abuse, it’s a method of misogyny. Turn women into a stereotype, and gendered violence becomes narratable, excusable, and even desirable.

“Involuntary parks” — lands emptied by war, pollution or conflict — can become accidental refuges for wildlife.

From the radioactive Hanford Reach to the disputed Kuril Islands, nature often rebounds without people, raising hard questions about conservation, recovery and responsibility.
Involuntary parks: Human conflict is creating unintended refuges for wildlife
Few locations on Earth are as haunting or deeply ironic as so-called involuntary parks — places too toxic, dangerous, or otherwise made off-limits for human habitation, but which have paradoxically…

The BBC is set to design and premiere programmes on YouTube.

Not only does this mean pushing the extraordinary success of iPlayer to the sidelines, it means our audience data and licence fee will now go to improve YouTube's algorithm and AI.

This is a public asset quietly handed to Big Tech.

Australia is negotiating a trade deal and - and mutual FREEDOM OF MOVEMENT - with the EU, effectively joining the single market.

Brexiters promised Britain a “Commonwealth alternative”. But reality is we'll end up with less than what Australia gets with Europe.

If politics depresses you, do not isolate or accept your condition.

Instead, become an engaged activist.

When you're an activist, news doesn't depress anymore, it energises.

My advice has a scientific basis (research linked below).

When does activism benefit well-being? Evidence from a longitudinal study of Clinton voters in the 2016 U.S. presidential election
Contrary to the expectations of many, Hillary Clinton lost the 2016 U.S. presidential election. The initial shock to her supporters turned into despair for most, but not everyone was affected equally. We draw from the literature on political ...

This shouldn't be a hot take but while London is a wonderful city to live in, those who call it the greatest city in the world can only do so because they ignore this city's history and the source of its wealth.

It's the only proven deterrent to US meddling.

So much magical thinking around following Starmer's ridiculous comments on Single Market alignment this morning.

There can be no cherry picking, and you are either in the Single Market or you are a third country (potentially paying through the nose for partial access via bilateral agreements).

This is Brexit all over again but worse, because we are again willingly destroying the very thing that feeds us - just at a time when we are at our weakest.
Net migration has fallen again to 204,000, the lowest level since 2021 and is forecast to continue falling over the coming years.

Not that you would know it from the endless coverage of Britain's supposed "immigration crisis"
November 27, 2025 at 1:26 PM
Turns out we hit my net migration forecast a year earlier.

Now, all we need to do is brace ourselves for the economic impact.
This is shaping up exactly as I predicted.

There are further effects from Covid-era student-arrivals and post-study workers, these will show a further downward trend in net migration in 2026 numbers.

I suspect we'll be down to about 250K net migration by the end of 2026.
