i think besides my gripes a general interest in fandom/fanwork isnt inherently harmful and i think its a bit scathing when some ppl suggest you can be 'too old' to engage with/make fanworks

Its a big reason why i mostly stepped away from 'Rogue Trader' Cassius and prefer to explore him in the broader context of 40k cuz there is more to play with overall

Granted 40k or DnD OCs i think have a bit more freedom and little less baggage cuz of the sandbox nature of those IPs but otherwise im just kinds tired of wanting something im pouring a lot f energy into chained to the volatility pf fandom spaces
