In 2023, the Freedom Eagles were the best HS football team in Virginia. Then, everybody left.

Two years later, Freedom is still searching for its next win.

A story about transfers, commitment and learning to pick up the pieces:
It was the best high school football team in the state. Then, everybody left.
The Freedom Eagles followed back-to-back Virginia titles with back-to-back winless seasons. It’s an extreme example of how player movement can shock a school.
