Who knows. I wasn’t a fan but I certainly didn’t want her to end her days in the way that she did. I had a colleague who got an OBE for organising the clear up of wilting flowers and stuffed toy afterwards.

I was working in remote Nepal and heard that she’d broken her arm in a car crash. Two days later we heard that she’d died. When we got back to London I couldn’t get my head around the hysteria, I still can’t.

I know that feeling. I lived in Salisbury for 14 years and never set foot in the Cathedral. Then I started guiding there and spent at least 6 hours a week there for the following 12 years!

Are you sure that it’s not the one on the right? The one on the left is outside the Abbess’s door on an external wall. The other one is set as the altarpiece for an internal altar.
