Synth bits! Repair of a digital piano's keybed, resurrecting some dead keys.
Each key has two rubber dome switches below. On each keystroke, these activate with a short time difference, which converts to Velocity values.
Pop keys out, pull off rubber dome strip, clean, refit. Solved. #synthbits

Synth Bits! This time: Inside of a Moog Etherwave Theremin. It had a newer board revision when I got it in 2008, but was exchanged for this one due to a warranty case. This one seems to be quite a bit older, since it still says Big Briar instead of Moog. Has been working fine ever since.
