My first order of business anytime I visit NJ in the fall is to go find a Gobbler.

This is the hill that I stand my ground on.

Best game design:
Love that the times don't append another zero onto single digit numbers. It's a good janky touch.

And today I'm happy to let you know that we recut the soundtrack to make it available to you on Bandcamp for your listening pleasure: ratttznest.bandcamp.com/album/ochiba...

(honest question) will you respond to this so I can feel a sense of moral superiority?

Genuinely powerful words to live by.
I might be in the wrong here, but I think Game Jam teams should do their darndest to upload a browser playable version unless there's REALLY no way their engine let's them export one...

Please, I want to play your game! But with 200+ submissions I'm not gonna download that many EXEs.
Come play our #FallingBlockJam game!

Ratttz absolutely cooked getting Ochibana this polished in a week, was glad to be her sous chef on this one.
IT'S OUT!!!

Ochibana is Nest's entry for #FallingBlockJam, and we're so excited to bring you this match-2 hand-building puzzle game!

Hanafuda drop from the top of the board, and your goal is to choose how to store the cards you want to keep, and what cards to chain away to build your multiplier!
The red 5 just being an inverted pallet is slick.
Eduardo was a joy to work with, very receptive to feedback and questions throughout the process.

Would recommend for logo commissions!

Thanks for reading! Have a wonderful day!
I definitely cooked with "Avians of Tropics"
Ratttz told to push them further into "obviously not from around here" territory and she was right.
Jokers for in development koi koi falling block game. They are riffs on Uno, Mille Bornes, Balatro, and Magic.
Something seems wrong with a few of these hanafuda cards... #fallingblockjam

for #fallingblockjam @playmagicaldrop.com and I are making

Ochibana (Fallen Flowers)

An arcade style versus puzzle game with a twist: there's a finite amount of pieces, and the game ends when they're gone. You score based on what's still on your board and your cleared pieces build your multiplier!
Conceptually, I'm excited to see it, but from execution standpoint there's some room for improvement to bring it in line with the original.

The inconsistent stroke weights, the lack of negative space between the hand and leg, the thumb not lining on the stick, the bottom beak shape, etc...
You're doing great boss, no worries.
My wife and I watched this one on a whim after seeing a breakdown of the airplane fight scene and had an absolute blast.

It's also wild how much "actual spying" Dalton era Bond does in comparison to a lot of the others.
