The overwhelming majority of NYC, across all demographics, looks at ICE with scorn.

NYPD is displeased with ICE barging in and doing whatever they want.

I think this is a combination of them being worn out by DJT along with seeing this as a proverbial "enemy of my enemy is my friend" strategy.

What is particularly obnoxious about Erewhon is how they overcharge, because of their status.
Many products they sell can easily be obtained at other places for 25% to 50% of the cost.
Such as a certain brand of coconut water that they sell for $20 goes for $10 to $15 at other posh gourmet markets.

While peaceful protest is not the panacea to all the ills and harms happening, it has a needed place in saying no to the fuckery taking place.

Also, insisting on violent protest speaks of blind privilege for many of us, especially poc, know what can and will happen to us should they get violent.

I am speculating that part of what is happening is how some are seeing how AI is being used to supplement healthcare in China, thinking it can be done here in the US, without properly considering how it is being utilized.
There is a difference between using it to make appointments v. interpret data.

I have always found her an annoyance at best and problematic at worst.
