Just reflecting on inflation from the perspective of getting older. We just paid $22.00 for two ice cream sundaes. In the early 1980’s we were amazed to have to spend nearly our whole vacation meal budget for a nice dinner for 2, dessert, wine & tip … for $20 bill.

The National Guard stand solemn watch at the Krispy Kreme tonight. I cannot tell if they defend the people from the donuts, or the donuts from the people. Powdered sugar hangs in the air like cannon smoke. Jensen took a hot coffee to the face, he may never recover.

More secret man knowledge. You can tell the difference between ‘56 and ‘57 Chevy by the shape of the fins, & the range of colors. Previous SMK I have learned: you can identify cars by the size/shape of their grills. And husb is not even a car guy. He just inherently knows this as a man.
