Activist Nino Svanidze was also detained today.

Before being taken away, she managed to post on Facebook: “Police just showed up in my yard. They’re taking me to the station.”

Her arrest is likely linked to the Rustaveli protests.

🔴 Journalist Vakho Sanaia has been sentenced to 6 days of administrative detention for “blocking the road”.

On Oct 19, several others were detained for the same reason.

New rules replace fines with up to 15 days’ detention - repeated action can now bring criminal charges.
