a zine cover for a comic compilation made of my wife and i's combined works for our Fright Hammer AU project, a vampiric old man love comic called "My Roommate Is Dracula." The title reads "Goofy Gilfs: A Fright Hammer Collection." A simplified bat, Daryl, is hanging off the G in Goofy. The three main characters are lined up from tallest to shortest: Dracula is holding the shoulders of Lorrimer Van Helsing, who is folding his arms on Peter Vincent's shoulders. They are all smiling. Peter is crouching and wielding a hammer and stake with a >:3 expression.

Before it was Mount St. Helens, it was Lawetlat’la—Loowit, the smoking mountain.

To the Cowlitz (Upper Cowlitz/Taidnapam) and Yakama (Klickitat), the volcano is alive—a place of story, balance and renewal.

Today, we honor those who have cared for it since time immemorial. #IndigenousPeoplesDay

Finished up a wolf pawprint tapestry!! Still shaking the dust off my sewing skills after not using them for a while, so there’s definitely some flaws on this tapestry, but I’m still happy with how it turned out!!

For Indigenous People’s Day, I’d like to infodump about the Cahokia mound. Built near present day St. Louis around 1000 CE, it was a vast trade hub with a population of about 20,000. This made it the largest city north of Mexico on the continent, bigger than London and Paris at the time!

The Cahokia mound, located outside modern day St. Louis, Missouri. It is a large hill which is now covered in grass, under a clear blue sky.
