Humpback whales working together to corral fish in a spiral net of bubbles, using vocal signals to coordinate. This amazing behavior is learned, not instinctual; not all humpback pods know how to bubble net feed.☺️😎💙

I'm thinking about the icky clergymen (Collins, Elton, etc.) in Austen's works and the fact that her father, who encouraged her by buying paper, ink, etc. (all expensive at the time) for her, was also a clergyman. He must have got a kick out of it because she kept writing them ^PG #TCMParty

Gorgeous! Currently in southern Mexico… Pacific Coast… totally swept up in the humpback migration vista every day. Tonight at sunset we witnessed numerous whales breeching in pink bliss. It’s a glorious natural ritual… here for another four weeks! #FelizNavidad
Rarely seen by humans, a humpback whale birth is a truly special moment 💙 Now that it has entered the world, this humpback calf will spend the next 10 years of its life growing to its full adult size. 💙💙💙
